University of California, Berkeley–Assistant Professor in Latinx and/or Chicanx literature

The Department of English at the University of California, Berkeley seeks applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor faculty position in Latinx and/or Chicanx literature, with an expected start date of July 1, 2025. The successful candidate will have training in Latinx and/or Chicanx cultural studies; grounding in one or more Latinx regional, national, and/or transnational literatures/cultures; and a dynamic critical approach to the traditions(s) in which they specialize. We welcome a wide variety of theoretical, historical, and critical approaches to the field.

Basic qualifications (required at time of application): Holder of a PhD or equivalent international degree; current candidate for the PhD or equivalent international degree; or current assistant professor.
