UC Santa Cruz: Chancellor’s Postdoctoral Fellowship in Latinx Studies
Latin American and Latino Studies at UC Santa Cruz seeks two Chancellor’s Postdoctoral Fellows as part of the University of California President’s Postdoctoral Fellowship Program.
Applications are welcome from scholars in the field of Latinx studies whose research advances excellence through a commitment to diversity and scholarly research in Latinx studies and in areas that advance the legacy of civil rights and feminist icon Dolores Huerta. This includes, but is not limited to, studying Latinxs in California, ideally with a focus on the Central Coast and/or Central Valley; labor and labor organizing; migration; social movements; and/or women activists. Fellows will be selected based on their research’s promise for cultivating dialogue, nurturing collaboration, and integrating, synthesizing, and building on materials in the forthcoming Dolores Huerta Papers and/or the Dolores Huerta Foundation Papers. Selected Fellows advance their own research during the fellowship year; there is no additional teaching or service requirement.
The fellows will be selected from the pool of applicants who have applied to the UC President’s Postdoctoral Fellowship Program and who have secured the support of a tenured faculty member in UCSC’s LALS Department.
