The Department of Urban and Environmental Studies at Loyola Marymount University invites applications for a tenure-track position in Environmental Studies, beginning August 2025, at the rank of Assistant Professor.

The successful candidate will teach lower-division, introductory courses and upper-division courses in their area of specialization. The position is open to applicants with a Ph.D. in a broad range of disciplines – including but not limited to the social sciences, humanities, and interdisciplinary programs in human-environment dynamics – whose scholarship contributes to any relevant dimension of Environmental Studies. We are especially interested in applicants who demonstrate a research agenda that both complements and broadens the faculty’s existing strengths.
