San Francisco State University, College of Ethnic Studies offers an exciting opportunity for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in one of the five departments including Africana Studies, American Indian Studies, Asian American Studies, Latina/o Studies and Race and Resistance Studies beginning August 2026. We seek a colleague whose teaching and research interests are on the intersections of race, ethnicity and disability. We are especially interested in qualified candidates with a demonstrated commitment — through their research, teaching, and service — to the diversity and excellence of our academic departments in the College of Ethnic Studies.
Required qualifications
• Ph.D. or M.F.A, or equivalent terminal degree in relevant field. Terminal degree must be completed by the first day of employment.
• Record of working and communicating effectively with colleagues and students
